AMI News Ski Reports AMI News is a leading provider of
snow reports for downhill, snowboarding and cross country for over 600 major ski areas across North America. As well AMI offers daily snow news, weather, resort packages and lodging.
SkiNet Magazines
Skinet is a property of Times Mirror and represents the online version of their popular Ski and Skiing magazines. SkiNet offers a wealth of fresh content including lastest news, snow reports, resort info, gear guide and more.
The Ski industry site for Snowsports Industries America. Loaded with product info, as well as consumer and industry news. There are lots of great features especially for those new to the sport including learning to ski/snowboard, equipment buying tips, tips for women/kids and travelling.
GoSki! Travel Guides GoSki has been around since 94/95 serving as the original ultimate worldwide skiing and snowboarding guide. GoSki covers over 2,000 resorts worldwide with profiles, reviews, discussion forums and snow reports. GoSki is well known for its extensive resort reviews submitted by good eggs. GoSki has since been acquired by RSN during the 1999/2000 season.
Mountain Zone Events
Now part of the Quokkasports Network, Mountain Zone is one of the major sources
of mountain related activity. The site features stories, live cybercasts, multimedia, tons of photos and full coverage of both skiing and snowboarding. Mountainzone's market place includes outdoor equipment and auction.
SkiMaps.com Trail Maps SkiMaps.com was initially started by a university student at the University of Maryland who collected and scanned resort trail maps as a hobby. One of the earliest ski sites, SkiMaps has taken on a commercial look and now offers extensive resort info, RSN's cams, snow reports and weather. Weak areas are the lodging board and lesser used discussion forums.
Cool Works Employment For all the ski bums of the world, Coolworks is for you. This site is one of the largest resources on the net for outdoor jobs, and lists employment at over 50 major ski areas across the US.
Resort Sports Network Travel Guide
RSN is well known for it's in resort TV programming. RSN moved to the online world providing the first wave of on slope cameras. In recent years they have expanded to include a wealth of information including resort travel, lodging, news and snow reports. Well used discussion forums are available for each resort.
